QUALIFYING TO USE THE RANGE
To qualify for use of the 600-yard Rifle Range:
* A member must be evaluated and approved by one of the club's approving designees before using the 600-yard Rifle Range.
* Members must qualify with his/her own equipment.
* Members must demonstrate the ability to record 4 out of 5 shots on each of the following:
* 4" target at 100 yards
* 8" target at 300 yards
* The shooter will be allowed as many sight-in shots as desired and enough cool-down time before firing the 5 shot strings for qualification.
* Failure to keep 4 of the 5 qualifying shots within the prescribed target area disqualifies the shooter. The shooter may shoot for qualification again on a different day.
* In lieu of shooting a qualification, the Board of Directors is working on a 600 yard rifle seminar that will consist of roughly 2hrs of classroom instruction and at least an hour of hands on rifle shooting at the range. The goal of this course is to provide an alternative avenue for qualifying to use the 600 yard range. These seminars will be announced to the membership and posted on the club calendar
